The Dark World draws much of its tension from the distance between events and the stories people tell about them.
Archives can preserve the truth, but they can also conceal it. A witness may remember a moment differently because of fear. An institution may alter a report because the facts are inconvenient. A family may pass on a story that carries grief more faithfully than detail.
This is the territory explored by characters such as Nisha, an archivist whose strength comes from patience, evidence, and the refusal to accept an explanation merely because it appears official.
It is also part of what connects our games to The Seven Red Witnesses and the Book of Blood. The details matter because the past is never only background. In Panonia, it is one of the most dangerous forces still at work.
